NMEDA Launches International Cooperative Awareness Program

June 14, 2010

TAMPA, Fla. (June 14, 2010) - The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) recently launched a new international cooperative awareness program, complete with an online library of multi-media advertising materials, which are customizable to the specifications of the 650 NMEDA members via the NMEDA Website - www.nmeda.org.

"It's sort of fitting that the online library will enable NMEDA Dealers and NMEDA QAP  (Quality Assurance Program) Dealers to receive a customizable solution to their specific needs-just like the invaluable, personalized services they provide their clients," said Dave Hubbard, NMEDA Executive Director and CEO.

The cooperative awareness program includes a comprehensive media schedule-from print advertisements in industry publications to online display banners and from radio spots (thirty- and sixty-second) to several online efforts like blogging, Twitter, Facebook and search engine optimization (SEO). As momentum grows, so will the available campaign elements. For example, television spot, a photography gallery and second-generation creative elements will be available.

Each of the four current print ads, running in publications such as Mobility Management, Advance for Physical Therapy, Rehab Medicine, Contact and Quest, will be customizable so that individual NMEDA dealers may advertise their own names, addresses, phone numbers, Websites, and specific promotions in their local publications. Beyond the print ads being available in color and black and white, French-Canadian print artwork is available and translations will be offered for radio.

"Thanks to the close collaboration with EVOK Advertising, agency of record for NMEDA, we believe the awareness campaign offers customizable solutions with an emphasis on lifestyle enhancements to those affected by disabilities. Further, we hope NMEDA members find our online library to be easy to use and beneficial to their business," said Hubbard.

From the fresh NMEDA logo to the new "Driving Independence" positioning tag line, along with the main graphics (road signs with sayings like Roam Ahead, Turn the Corner, Find Yourself and Get On Board)-each element of every campaign piece reinforces the inspirational and lifestyle-enhancing message. Ongoing research, customer surveys and focus groups helped steer the creative. Such a strategic approach will continue to ensure the NMEDA marketing goals and operational standards are continually met.

"In an effort to unify an international brand that lacks recognition, EVOK Advertising has put all the necessary wheels on the ground, pointed them in the right direction and is already gaining an impressive amount of momentum on behalf of NMEDA dealers, manufacturers, customers and prospects," concluded Hubbard, "And it is with great pride and satisfaction that NMEDA provides all the requisite resources to our valuable members within the online library."
